Built on Meadowbrook

Woodbridge football has never been the program with the recruiting pipeline or the stadium that seats ten thousand. It is a public school on Meadowbrook with 2,200 students, red and gold in the bleachers, and a roster built almost entirely from the neighborhoods around it.

What happened in November 2025 is the clearest statement of what this program asks of its players. A team that had been beaten badly and often did not quit on its season. It won a first-round game, then a quarterfinal against the team that had beaten it two weeks before, then a semifinal by three, then a championship by one. Then it went out and shut out San Fernando to reach a state bowl game.

That is the standard now. Not that Warriors win every Friday, but that they are still standing in December. The 2026 team returns a sophomore quarterback, a deep junior class, and the expectation that the season lasts as long as the players decide it does.
